THE CHOPTANK TRIBUTARY TEAM is a group of concerned citizens, local government representatives, farmers, watermen, sportsmen, and business people who join together to promote wise stewardship of the watershed in which they live and work.

Using a watershed approach that crosses state and local boundaries, the Trib Team helps to:

  • identify sources of pollution
  • guide decisionmaking and policy
  • propose restoration activities
  • support Best Management Practices
  • and increase awareness

MISSION STATEMENT:
The mission of the Maryland Tributary Teams is to build consensus and advocate for policy solutions, to promote stewardship through education, and to coordinate activities and projects necessary to protect and restore the Chesapeake Bay's water quality and assure healthy watersheds with abundant and diverse living resources.
